Sculptural plants such as grasses, ferns and bamboos and easy to maintain and prove the perfect backdrop for summer annuals if you want to add a splash of colour.

Bulbs are ideal for early colour in your spring garden. Snowdrops, narcissi and tulips are the earliest to flower.

All plants, new and old will need to be protected from slugs and snails. There are many methods of doing this - none of which are fool proof!

Spring Lawn Tips

As the grass starts to grow you will need to start to mow your lawn. Set the mowing height quite high - a little and often approach is better in spring. As the grass grows faster as we move further into spring increase the mowing frequency and gradually reduce the height of cut to give the desired finish.
